Inside trunk release switch
I installed my trunk release switch today inside my glove box so i don't have to fumble for the key remote to open the trunk from inside the car. It only took a few minutes and was a really cheap modification.

you should have seen me the first time I tried to open the trunk from the inside of the car, I must have looked around like an idiot for a few solid minutes before giving up and hitting the remote
more details! I want to do this mod, I might put it in the center console though.

I had an 04 gt that i had and after about 6 months of owning it, i found out it had a trunk release in the glove compartment. Funny thing is, the way i found out is by watching someone in an 04 v6 mustang pop their trunk from the inside. After that i started looking inside and i found it, boy did i feel stupid. Now i own an 08 mustang gt and im pretty sure that it does not have a trunk release button. I wonder why they didn't bother to put them in these cars.
The release button is available from your FORD dealer the part number is D3AY-19C542-A it is about $10 or less. it is also available online from
https://www.trademotion.com/partloca...FSgQFQod1EPtZQ
OR
http://www.newfordparts.com/
It's a bit cheaper online but you pay shipping.
All you need besides the switch is two female wire connectors, one ring connector and a T-Splice connector. About 3 feet of wire 18GA or 20GA stranded. The total cost is less than $15.
There is an excellent write-up at this link:

It takes about an hour and a half to do, and it's well worth the effort.
