When did you put the hood on. I don't remember it being there at the Team Ford show.
Looks Good, real Good

Its too close to being accidentally hit during
driving or entrence/exit of vehicle.

Ever pop your trunk while at speed??
its not pretty....

Its currently not doable as the RKE does not work
as a trunk release at speed....

But your ever so carefully placed button could pop her at speed.....
Glove box or no box for switch location. OEM style or no style for me....

It can't be hit accidentally because of the extruded speaker in the door. Try closing your door and getting to it with your leg, foot or whatever...not gonna happen . It's perfect for finger though.

I like your location better. I will put mine here too.

I put one in my old 70 Cougar on the inner rocker panel under the carpet close to the seat.
No one knows it's there.
I can feel a little lump at that spot and that's all I need to find it everytime.
Been too lazy to duplicate this on my 06...

Kinda like the reed switch in my rubber window seal that
unlocks the drivers door when a magnet is passed over it...

I like that idea, then you don't have to mess with the glove box.

Actually my first choice was to install it on the drivers door near the handle but I decided against running the wire through the door (lazy), so close to the hood latch was the second choice.

Something I did a while back, it's a great addition! The hood looks drop dead gorgeous Degeze!
