2012 GT- Struts Clunking Already
Besides the front lower control arms being defective and sounding like the engine is about to fall out which Im going in for this Saturday.. I have noticed that when the car is cold it sounds like the front left end has a blown strut or something is just completely disconnected.
Has anyone here had this before? I found a thread here about it but they are just bullsh*tting and no one posted there findings after service. http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...ed-bump-2.html
So far, Ive had a bad experience with the suspension, my fan comes on when the car is cold and Im starting to misfire around 2k. Hopefully I don't end up asking myself soon why bought another FORD.

I have similar issues with my '12 GT, started around 1500 miles. Lots of noise from the front suspension, clunking whenever I hit irregular pavement, when I brake at low speed, when I accelerate. At first it was most noticeable on passenger side, but now I hear it on the drivers side as well. Sometimes I feel it trough the floor boards.
It was with the dealer for a couple of days around 2500 miles. They say the replaced the front sway bar bushings (or the entire assembly, can't remember for sure).
When I drove the care off the lot the same noises where there. Frustrating.
When ever I go over a speed bump the car squeaks and groans so load I know people nearby can hear it. The car sounds like an antique with frozen suspension parts!
I had the car in for oil chnage at 5K miles and complained again. They say they will need to car overnight to get some factory support.
I've talked to owners of older mustangs and they say "its a common issue with Mustangs".
I've always worked on my own cars but I don't think I should be the one to get under the car and find and fix this problem, paid too much for the car to be doing that myself!

Please PM me your info (VIN, contact information, mileage, & servicing dealer name/state) so I can help with your suspension issues.
Talk to you both soon!

Popped out my stock LCAS recently, and had the bushings (those rubber cylinder looking things) changed out. I had a few tiny squeaks when turning or launching from a stop and they completely stopped after that.
Only cost me a few bucks, and a days worth of being under the car... Get some good grease for the new ones too. Factory might not have greased them enough...

I'm running RideTech(Air Ride Technology) air struts on my 2010 and after installing them I had a similar noise to all of you guys. So even though I'm no longer running oe parts anymore this may still be a potential issue you guys are having:
The clunk I had was most noticeable going over small low speed bumps like expansion joints or cracks in a parking lot etc. or while hitting bumps while turning at slow speeds. It sounds like something is loose/clunking in the front center of the car(I thought motor mounts at first).
My problem ended up being that the bolt holes in the sway bar where a touch too large and are allowing the end-link bolts to move around slightly in the holes. Check your endlink bolts by getting under the car and pushing (HARD) up and down on the sway bar near the endlinks. If it has any play at all you should hear a slight clunk...that little clunk will be MUCH louder while driving. As my parts aren't stock(no warranty) I have fixed mine by using graphite packing thread around the bolts to take up the slack. Noise gone
