My recollection was that when I used mine, I had my key in the ignition and power accessory to on...If you've done that, then I don't know what to tell you...other than call the vendor.

Actually, the SCT2 should turn on immediately upon plugging it in. you don't even need your key in the ignition at first (although you'll need to put it in eventually). send it back.

Make sure no prongs got bent. Possibly try in another 96 or newer ford to see if it powers up. If not cal him up, see if he can send you a replacement out and a return tag for the old one. And request a Cross ship so you dont need to wait any longer.

Not using brenspeed isnt the issue! Not even fair to say that. Ive heard nothing but good stuff about Bamachips. Although I did go
with Brenspeed and shipping is FAST. Customer service great too.

DO NOT TRY IN ANOTHER VEHICLE!!!!! From what I understand as soon as you plug in your tuner it burns the VIN into the tuner making it so you can only use it for that specific VIN. So lets say be freak accident it works in another car, then you can't use it in your own, and the manufact. will tell you your SOL!

The tunes I got from brenspeed are less that desirable. Actually my stock tune is better.

I find that hard to believe, but believe it I must since it's your car and you would know better than anyone else. Me I'm quite happy with the tune Brent did for me.
