Default Dash Rattle

Over the last few days I began noticing a really squeaky rattle that seems to be coming from the passenger side dash. It's gotten to the point that it's so annoying I have to turn the radio up just to be able to drive it. I read in another post that it could be the air bag bracket and took a quick look under the dash, but couldn't find anything that seemed loose. Anyone have any more details on what needs to be tightened? Or can it even be accessed without taking the dash apart?

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Troy

I have a rattle as well, I figured out it was the base of my e-brake, I just put my hand on it when I can't take it anymore!

It is the strap on the passengers side air bag rattling. Pretty much EVERYONE I know has the same complaint.

I don't think this is the crossmember, it definitley sounds like it's coming from the passenger side dash and seems consistent with other's posts regarding the airbag. Plus I've got an '06, so I would have hoped that would have been corrected already? Can't be my Glock either, that sits on the passenger seat for easy access.

So is the airbag strap something I can tighten from under the dash? Exactly what should I be looking for?

Because the dealer fixed the rattle and said it was the strap around the airbag.

I've got that rattle to. I aggree that it is around the air bag area and it is worse with cooler temperatures due to items that shrink up. Did your dealer fix it under warranty?

Yea, but he didn't say what they did. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if they just put some tape, or a piece of cardboard, or anything in there to keep it from rattling.
