2006 NHRA Rules
I'm eager to run in the Fun Ford Weekend comming up in may in Louisiana in the new Ultra Stang class, but I have a convertible. By the time this comes, this car will be well into the 12's. No Problem Raceway follows the same rules as the NHRA rulebook regarding safety and inspections. Does anyone have an NHRA rule book who could tell me if I will run into any problems with tech. I want to know soon so that if any modifications need to be made, I can make them.

You need a roll bar if you are running faster than 13.49 ET with a vert. Note - I said roll bar not a full cage. Here is a quick rule referrence guide that should help you out...

They changed the driveshaft loop rule as well this year, I believe as well.

Birdie's right - thanks for pointing that out. What's not on the cheat sheet I gave you is the drive shaft change they made this year. You're going to need to put a safety loop on your driveshaft if you're in the 12's. They aren't very expensive and they are an easy bolt on deal. Definitely follow the rules cause in my experience, tech seems to be a little more thorough with verts...
