Default convertible top care

I got my first convertible in July. 2005 V6 windvale blue with a parchment top. Live in Maryland and use the car to cruise to the beach. It is the perfect car for that. I was wondering if there is any special care I should take to keep the top clean and in good shape?

I use Meguiars low luster vinyl conditioner. Seems to work just fine. Just don't put too much on.

The Mustang has a Haartz convertible top http://www.haartz.com/Product_Lines/Wcpl_Main_Page.htm). They recommend the following products: http://www.haartz.com/Consumer_Info/..._Main_Page.htm. I bought the Raggtop kit from Autogeek.com and have had good results with my Parchment top also.

The Parchment top is definitely high maintenance but when it's clean, it looks great. For just cleaning the top, I've also gotten excellent results using good old Ford Triple-Clean vinyl cleaner, available from your dealer. I definitely recommend the protective coat after cleaning it. Good luck!

Look up RaggTopp and/or the 303 products. If you can't find them locally, just click on the Autogeek link on the side.

does factory Stang GT 05/06 comes w option between vinyl and clothe actually? koz i found couple of years ago that if treated carefully, cloth looks much better...

anyway Ford should come up with "hard-top" convertible version already!!!! Even Volvo, Renault and Citroen has it now!!! And Mercedes is using it for several years!!!! WHen???? When, when, dear Henry????

After looking at the Haartz website the Mustang top is what they call sailcloth with a vinyl overlay. It ia hard to tell that it is vinyl.
