Default Which Shelby Wheels?

OK, which wheels would you use? I know they are similar looking but believe me there are differences in the two styles. Also wheel number 1 is only available as an 18" and wheel number 2 is only available as a 20"; By the way wheel number 1 in on top and number 2 is below it. Thanks.

I think #1 has a little more style to it. #2 just looks too plain. It's too bad #1 doesn't come in 20'or 19', but I would stii go with it.

My vote says #1. Looks more retro.

I would say #1 based on the fact that #2 has a "bumped-out spoke" profile.....whereas the #1 rim has a recessed profile. Personally I don't care for what bumped out profile rims do for the lines of the 05/06's. But thats just me.

Everyone overwhelmingly said wheel 1 was the better design. So now, which version of that wheel should I get the pure chrome version or the anthracite version. I'm kinda torn here in that the chrome looks really nice, but the anthracite is probably more vintage looking and I am trying to capture the look of a vintage Shelby... The cost difference is about $100/wheel. Also should I get a staggerred set of rims (i.e. 18 x 8.5 front and 18 x 9.5 rear) or get the same size all around. Thanks for your input!

Well, if you're goin for a straight vintage recreation, then yea, the anthracite rims will fit the bill better. And while I'm not crazy about chrome rims, I think these Shelby's look really good in chrome. I'm doin something of a Shelby "heritage" scheme on my GT also, so I know where you're looking to go. Just remember, its not always best to duplicate the classic car in every conceivable way. This is, afterall, a modern car you're gonna be driving. So it's a good idea to throw in some contemporary touches here and there. And I think having the chromed versions of those Shelby's would be the ticket. JMO

Agreed. Good luck in making up your mind and tell us when you ordered them.
