Default FINALLY! installed JLTII/Sct2

Well, after jackin' around with this and that and finally settling on JLTII/SCT2 tune from Evolution Performance...it's installed!

I know that this is repeated over and over in this forum but HOLY SHNIKEY what a difference! Why in the name of everything holy did I wait this long to get this? It truly accelerates/shifts/sounds like a true muscle car now...and I still have stock exhaust.

I ordered the package from Fred at Evolution Performance late yesterday morning...had it overnighted and it arrived at my front door at 10:30 this morning...after rushing off for a couple of appointments I came back and took a break to install it. All in all took about 30 mins for everything, including loading the 93 octane tune.

Pros:
1. throttle response is definitely better, if you go WOT from dead stop it still has a bit of "lag" but you quickly forget about that when you hear the nice fat scratch (not "chirp") in the 1-2 shift...keep it buried and the 2-3 shift throws you back also, VERY aggressive, might even hear a chirp on that shift from time to time depending on conditions/pavement/tires. (I know scratching shifts is not the ultimate goal, just helps to demonstrate how aggressive the shifts are on the automatic)

2. throttle response when driving "normal" is greatly improved. Red light turns green, car in front of me starts moving, I touch accelerator to move forward and WHOA have to back off a bit or step on the brake to avoid smacking their @ss...gotta get used to the response. NOTE, this is only when not going WOT, at WOT I still notice some lag, although possibly less than before.

3. Sound is awesome...think this comes from just having an "open air" intake combined with the tune...very aggressive

Cons:can't think of any

I'm sure there are other points I'll notice once I can take her out to the country for some fast driving and a photo shoot, until then...PEACE!

Expecting mine Wednesday!

My 6 probably wont act nearly as mean as your 8, but it tickles me just thinking about the difference.

yep...it's about a .20 difference (almost $400/gallon[&:]), I've got a 89 tune also if I want to switch to that, along with a 100 octane tune for strip and of course the stock tune.

Oh yeah!!! Although I really can't see the benefit in the exhaust mods if they don't add hp...I know the sound is amazing with modded exhaust but I'm really wanting to go fast before I look/sound fast...i dunno...thoughts?

I'm thinking torque converter/3.73's next...

What RPM does it idle with the tune?
