Default handling?

well, basically i perfer handling over anything else, becuase i'm more into autocross and road racing than i am drag..... but the mustang comes in at 52/48 weight distribution, do you guys think there would be a way for me to even that out a bit? because if theres less weight in the back wouldnt that mean more understeer?

Thats so close to perfect its not funny, the car will handle fantastically as far as that goes.

If your really ansi about it relocate your battery to the rear and that will make it close.

Like he said relocate the battery to the trunk over the right rear....better traction. other than that there isn't alot you can do because it has an light weight hood, bumpers, fenders ect.

spring, shocks and struts, and sways bars would make a huge difference you would eat that rice. Steeda has entire road race packages for 04 Mustangs, which my buddy has. They have all of the parts available for 2005 there just not in a package, but I bet ya they would put one together for ya. Tires are probably the biggest thing in autocross though imo. All depands how much $ you want to put into it when it all comes down to it!

The weight balance is very near to right on the money for road racing. The front end digs harder on an auto-x course so the bias to the front is ideal. Also the lack of on the rear will keep it from swinging. I don't know if you watch or not , but a 05' GT just won the drift championship. First American to ever even come close. I'm not into that, but I do read the articles.

relocate the battery directly over the rear axle which will transfer weight, and thats not going to be enough, and i hate to say it but you may have to add some weight to your car trunk above the axle. Thank god your not a ricer or that would be blasphemy!
