2005 Exhaust on 89'?
I dont really know where to post this but since this is where i am most familiar- its goin here.
this is also way ahead of where i am but i wanted to watch out for deals over the coarse of time i'm doing my project car so when i find a good deal i can ****** it up if this is, indeed, plausible.
i love the sound of the borla axle-backs on the 05' GT's and i'm going ot be putting a big v8 in the fox, so i figured the borlas would sound good on that as well- but would they work or would there be conflict due to the different mounting positions?
if this is a stupid question, ignore my ignorance and tell me i'm a dumb ***. thanks as always

the '89 is not designed for axle backs, and there is no room for them. The mufflers are in front of the axle, and each connect to a short intermediate tube off of the "h" pipe. If you are going to use the '89 exhaust then get borlas for that application. ....

"but would they work or would there be conflict due to the different mounting positions? " which shows that i KNOW the foxes arent designed for axle backs, hence why i was asking this question. Thanks for the input though, it would have been helpful had i not known

yeah just remove your old muffs and put the ones you want on. if your using a 05 slip on youll have to cut off theinput end since it is curled upwards and the output since the slip on usually comes with a tip.. you dont really have to hook up your muff to any body mounts since the rest of your exhaust system is solid enough to hold em up.. my muffs on the 70 vert are only held by the piping connected to them
