Default Mufflers...

Hey Folks...Newbie here ...I've got a bone stock 05 GT...had my fun last year and looking to spend a little tax return this year. So far I've ordered the Hurst shifter and some 4.30 gears. I want this baby to rumble, not looking to do the whole exhaust, maybe in a few years. I just want some good mufflers....opinions?

You will get a lot of different opinions on this one! What exactly are you wanting? Mellow except under wot, semi aggressive always, or all out aggressive wake the neighbors noise?

I have the Magnaflows and love them. The are not overly aggressive at a cruise, yet plenty loud to get attention and under WOT they growl nicely.

Good point...Waking the neighbours as I go to work at 6:00am is always fun....WOT growl is a must, interior noise I'm not tooo worried about. I don't want it to sound mellow at any point. If it were idling I'd want people to know it's not stock and stop to wait for me to go so they can hear it. Know what I mean....I guess all out aggressive....you know I'm coming.....

I got the SLP Loudmouths and I absolutely love 'em. I'd want to see dyno sheets before and after adding the SLP's before I'd believe you're lossing HP at upper RPMs. I don't think I've lost anything noticeable.

I just ordered my Aggressive Borla Axel Backs from Dallas Mustang on Thursday. I will get them in the middle of next week. I'll let you know how they run. I've seen some videos of people with axel back and catback borla systems, and they are sick!

I have MACs and love em but I don't know if they'd be loud enough for you. They're loud but nothing thats gonna wake up the neighbors.
