Invoice Price?
the invoice looks right, but the estimated time is WAY off
i was going to originally order my car because it is not exactly what i wanted, but after waiting about 3 months with no word from ford, we called the dealer and b*tched at them for a couple hours to cancel the order, then bought one off the lot from another dealer
my friend who decided to stick with his order still does not have his car and it has been 4 months

I worked at a car dealership last year when I ordered my 05 GT(I admit it, I was a salesman[:@]). Price is good, alot of deals want to sell at MSRP. X-plan pricing is a couple $100 over invoice. The dealer also gets "holdback" from Ford for any car they sell, off the lot or ordered, anywhere from 5-10%. Again, the price looks very good....But, It took me 14 weeks to get my GT. Each dealer is allotted so many, depends on area and volume. If you want the car, order it and be patiet. Maybe you'll get lucky!!
PS---The wait is worth it!!!!!!!!

Definetely depends on dealer allocation. The higher the allocation the quicker the car will come in. I've been watching order status on these cars on bluovalforums and within the last month they really started getting quicker. I ordered mine Feb 27th and it had a vin 3 days later! I could not believe it! It is scheduled to be built wed.
If you buy on the x-plan, the dealership is required to show you the x-plan price on a document. X-Plan price is invoice minus .4%....not including destination charges and additional dealer addons/fees
You can always calculate the invoice price at Edmunds website.

Mine is fully loaded cept with the shaker 500 instead of the 1000. It was stickered at 29,090. Invoice was 27,270ish. Drove off with a 27,040 price tag. So I got mine for about 200 under invoice.
I just ordered a 2006 GT with the X-Plan today.
Dealership said 6-8 weeks delivery time, but they couldn't give me the exact x-plan price. They said it will be on the invoice when its received.
And they also had advertisement fees and destination charges added into the x-plan invoice price. The had this as part of the invoice. Is this correct?

The invoice price looks correct. I got mine at Taska Ford in Rhode Island. No dealer in CT would order on the X-plan - I tried almost everywhere! I went to Taska and ordered the car on/around December 29/30. The guy at Taska, Don, provided me with the order sheet direct from FORD, with the dealer invoice, and all the different plan prices (for the particular options I selected). Mine is identical to yours, minus the 18" rims. With tax, I think it was $26,800. He quoted 10-12 weeks for the car, with updates like build schedule and VIN number as soon as they were available. I gave him a call in mid February just to check in. He said he had not heard anything, but would check the next day. He called me back the next day to apologize....the car had been delivered to the lot that day! I picked it up a few days later. Anyway, the end result was about 6 weeks for the car, from the day I ordered it, to the day it was delivered to the dealership.
Due to crappy weather (CT), I have only put about 600 miles on it. Did an oil change yesterday and will be bringing the car back to Taska this week to have the driver's window replaced - scratch that was not noticed until right before I got to the dealership to pick it up. Since Taska is a couple of hours away, and the window guys only work during the day, Don is having me drop it off after work, and he will give me another car for the day it is there.
In terms of the wait time, I guess it just depends. If you go to a high-volume dealer (like Taska), they can probably get the car quicker. As an aside, if anyone in the Northeast is looking to get one, call Taska. A++ service, and they even had a Ford GT (rare in New England) to stare at while we waited for the paperwork, though I don't think that will be the loaner I get when they are repairing the window!

Black GT - unfortunately that is not correct. They should give you the X-plan price up front (it's within $30 of invoice) and advertising fees are not part of it, although destination is. I hate to say this, but I would say bail on that dealer - ask for your deposit back. I would not try to fix this, as a dealership willing to mislead once is willing to mislead twice. A couple weeks ago, I went to two dealers for my Xplan 2006 GT convertible. One wrote me down the Xplan price which was "$31216.43" (sounds exact, eh?); the other one printed out on the official form the actual Xplan price, which was $30,560 (within 1% of invoice). Same car, same options, dealerships withing 5 miles of each other. When I called back the first dealership to say what they did was not right, the manager became very defensive and hostile, claiming that the salesman must have quoted me an "Xplan equivalent" price, which was not the case, he then said I "heard wrong" - I said I have a buyer's order where the guy wrote down - "X - plan purchase = $31,216.43." Then the guy said the salesman was new. Yeah right - sounds more like they try to squeeze a few hundred bucks on false pretenses. My guess is that if I ordered from them, when the car came in there would be some hostage-style negotiations with surprise fees and the like. I sent an e-mail to Ford about this - haven't heard back yet. Second dealership - low key, low pressure, full disclosure, totally honest. Shop around, I say.
