I got both doors finished today. It is raining here so I haven't taken it out to see how it sounds.

I got the Shaker 1000 with my car, so checked out the front speakers while I had the door panel off. I'm impressed. I thought they sounded pretty good, but now I know why. They have a small midrange and tweeter unit in the door. The tweeter is a dome type tweeter. This midrange/tweeter unit is made by Mach according to the labels I saw.

The Damplifer made the doors much more solid sounding when I close them.

Tomorrow I am going to pull the rearseat and back seat sides off and "damplify" that. You can tap on the car with your finger just over the wheel well and it resonates like mad. Hopefully this will let me get rid of the road noise so I can hear that music--both from the exhaust and the radio!!

I just finished using the damplifier and spectrum throughout the whole car. I also covered everything with nuprene open cell foam. Man what a difference!! This is an amazing product! Now I need to get a new exhaust system so I can hear it.

 

where do u get "Damplifer Sound Deadner " and exactly what is it. how much?

 

ive only heard of Dynomat, but yeah how much does this stuff cost? i would like to install some audi this summer, so ill definatly need something of the sort...

 

You can find the damplifier here www.secondskinaudio.com I used a total 7 gallons of the spectrum and 80sq. ft. of the damplifier. I also used 120 sq ft. of a similar product called RAAMMATT (It is a little more easy on the wallet) This amount will cover your stang from headliner to trunk.
