Check it out, half way down the page, has anyone tried this? Besides the shaker, I’ve always questioned the so called cold air that the current cai's are actually pulling?

Looks like this one is only for the Supercharger Application, does anyone know of another one that mounts down near the lower bumper?

I'd love to get one and adapt it to work off of the CDC shaker hood set up. I don't trust the filter being that close to water

if you're that worried about hot air, just run a tube of some sort from your lower front grill to your air intake area under the hood, at speeds it should supply pleanty of cool air for your engine to suck on!

Yes, I was thinking the same as you! I looked at the bumper, the driver's side very bottom grille is blocked off (there is one on the passenger side too). That could be opened up and an air directional kit installed. I am thinking of something like they use in NASCAR to route cool air to the brakes on the cars. Installing something like this, and then bringing the end of it up to teh bottom of the filter in most CAIs would definitely cool it off when you are moving.

I have a ram air box on my Dodge Dakota pickup. One of the inputs gets cold are directly from the grille! After a drive on a cool day you can pop the hood and the top of hte K&N breather is ice cold!

Anyone know where you can get an air kit to tap that very bottom grille???

Thx,

Mike
