Anybody get vanity plates for their mustangs?

Just got mine in the mail for the new car. It's a college plate "Michigan State University" that reads:

S TANGT

OR STANG GT

Michigan is pretty good. The plate came in just two weeks......

Glad to hear you got the plates you wanted! I'm waiting for mine to come in the mail.

I have a question, maybe you and the others can help. I've noticed on some pictures people black out the license plate. Why?
I mean, if you're driving around town, everyone can see your plates...it's not like this is a secret password or something. So why are people reluctant to show their plates online? Just curious.

Best,
-j

Well, if someone wanted to they could get your adress based off of your liscense plate. Bang the next thing you know your aftermarket stereo, or just your whole car are gone!

I see. Well, I'm not worried about someone getting my home address, that wouldn't help them find the car...ooooh, the plot thickens!

So here's mine, hopefully they'll arrive soon: DR JOHN
(I'm a philosophy professor, and this is what my students call me. It's also the name of one of the great New Orleans Blues & Jazz musicians.)

I really really like "05 CLASSIC"

Personally, I think that's totally appropriate, as I've been saying for some time, the new Mustangs rolled off the factory floor instant classics!

Best,

Thanks Philostang---that was my thought too when I first saw the 05's. They are already "classics".
