You have to get license plates from the Department of Motor Vehicles in the state you live in. The price can vary depending on the state. In Maryland I think it is $35. -Joe
Well, if someone wanted to they could get your adress based off of your liscense plate. Bang the next thing you know your aftermarket stereo, or just your whole car are gone!
Yeah but idk that would make sense if it's a really expensive, sought after car or something. But why would you want to drive prob hundreds of miles to steal a radio or even a $30k car when you could easily go to your closest rich area and jack a porsche.
What does make sense is wanting to conceal your identity so if you **** someone off they can't hunt you down as easily.
I saw a ricer's plate the other day that said "envy me" haha and it looked like it had just gotten tboned a couple of days ago...the car ('90s Eclipse) was a complete wreck.
