Default Painted Rotors

Anybody out there paint their rotors? Mine are very exposed with the wheels I have. Wanted to add some bling. I was thinking a silver would look better on the factory painted surfaces than the blue/gray stock color. Plus the factory coat looks like it will rust.

I just plan to mask & paint. Any advice on easily masking the brake surfaces.

My calipers look so good from the factory (silver) I think I'll leave them as is. They look great on a silver car. Looks like a good coating also!

I think he meant the calipers, or at least I hope so. Most of the kits you just brush on and mask some of the bleed holes.

Look on ebay. Those are the only "painted" rotors I've seen. Other than that you can get a silver or goldish color I think

He's talking about the "hat" of the rotors, not the braking surface.

Yes, I'm talking about the "hat" and the very outside OD. Not any machined surfaces or where the brake pads engage.

The hat and OD are very visible on my car. Was just curious if anyone else had done it.

I've seen cross drilled roters in a gold color and I think steeda makes them. Regardless of what color you have if you leave them out in the rain or snow they are going to get surface rust, until you apply your breaks. Stick with painted your calipers.
