Dead Battery Question
Anybody had problems with battery going dead if car has been sitting for a week or so? I've had mine off road for the winter, and have been starting it every so often. I let it run about 1/2 hour then run it up & down the drive a few times then put it back in garage. Last time I did this was about 2 weeks ago. Today I went out to do it and the battery is stone dead. I didn't touch anything put a charger on it and looked around to see if anything had been left on. Nothing, so now I'm confused why did it die?
Mine did the same thing. It's been in the body shop now for over 2 weeks. The guy at the shop tried to start the car to move it over close to the paint booth and the battery was dead. The key was out of the ignition and all the interior lights have been pulled so I know there was nothing left on. This is becoming a mystery to alot of us and more and more people are complaining about dead betteries when they leave the car alone for a few weeks. I am wondering if the Skipper radio is still pulling more current than needed when the car is off. This car has no IUP so that can't be it. I am going to check with the dealer if there is a TSB on this.
I was on another forum and the consensus there was it is only happening to cars with alarm systems. But they didn't know why. So I guess my questions are. 1. do you have the alarm? 2. Was it set at the time the battery died?
