The GT-500
When will this bad boy be available? Is there going to be a limited number of them made? Just curious, because we just found out my wife will be getting hired on as an accountant here, and she said i can trade in my 06 GT if i want to...... um... I'll go with yes!

RE: The GT-500
Better get to an SVT dealer quick from what I hear...... They are going to go FAST and I don't just mean sales. Rumor and propaganda have it that there will be a limited production run and also that they are being ordered so fast that they are gone already????/ Again that is rumor.... Get to the closest SVT dealer or look one up on the net and call...

They are (very) limited, they are spoken for, and they are pulling in up to $30k over sticker. Save your pennies and make your 06 a faster car, or wait until about 2010 and you should be able to get one for a descent price.

From what I hear my local dealership is allowed 2, but they are most likely going to send them off to be auctioned, because they are going to make so much money... I really don't understand why someone would want to buy a $50-70k Mustang... Cobra name or not, just not worth it.

I have to agree with Menace, I don't see spending that kind of money on a Mustang of any name--and if I want to invest, I'll go with stocks (which I'm not tempted to drive).
98LS1, you must have seen a copy since they have not even established a firm MSRP on them yet.
On the note of pricing, several dealers have already started auctioning the RIGHTS to order one--they auction the price OVER whatever the MSRP will be....and already, the BuyItNow prices are $15K-$25K, and one of the running auctions is in the high teens.
Crazy. If Ford holds the price down to $40K, you're looking at $55K-$65K for one. Crazy.
