Default trading '06 for '06

So, considering the idea that anything's possible ........... do you suppose it's feasible to trade in an '06 GT Automatic for an '06 Manual? I have about 1700 miles on the automatic. I assume it's possible but I'd probably take a bath, right?

I don't know why but I just assumed I couldn't do it on account of the loan.

[sm=signs003.gif] I would say that if you do that, the salesman will introduce you to his friend Ben....Ben Dover.

Unfortunately you probably will go hosed on the trade. That's pretty much with any new car. You will likely lose at least 10%. If not more.

When it comes to new cars, you can do anything.......As long as you are willing to pay for it!

I was told that I would lose about $5,000 if I traded for an 06, but that can vary with where you live and how many similar cars are in the area. I figured that I could probably just swap the tranny for cheaper if I did the labor, which I am capable of. That will probably be far down the road when I save up some money.

I'm so ridiculously torn!!! I took her out for a run and found that I don't want to even deal with shifting 1 thru 3 and that I can use the auto shifter to hit 3rd gear to engine brake at 70 m.p.h. which only runs up to 4700ish rpms. I suppose down the road I'll spend more to rebuild the tranny and more on brakes/gas but...........so what.

You could try what some people on Ebay are doing, sell it for what you paid for it there, worse that happens is you don't sell it and get stuck with the listing fee.

I just traded my 900 mile auto trans Vista Blue 06 Premium GT in for a new manual trans Vista Blue 06 Premium GT. I paid another $1100.00 plus another license tag, but in a couple of months the pain of the extra cash will have gone away, whereas the buyers remorse wouldn't have. All depends on how you look at it I guess...
