Getting really expensive. [:-] a base GT used to be about $24,495 but now it's up to $25,860. That's a $1,400 increase. I dont know if i like this popularity jacking up prices...oh well. Maybe the price will drop when the Camaro's and Challengers come out

Personally, $1,400 wouldn't mean ***t to me but maybe you've had your eye on prices? I've been chatting it up with a buddy around the corner from me in Northern California (where everything's more expensive) and here's what he said about his 2006 purchase.........

"I'm still a little sad I didn't get the leather, but on the other hand I got the car for $23495!!!! MSRP was $26250 and the dealer markup was at $30245 "

Maybe you just don't know how to negotiate?

Daaammnn that's cheap. Do you know what he did to get such a good deal? Or if maybe he has some good negotiating pointers to share? haha

And Juntech, if you take inflation into account the price increase isn't huge, it's normal. On top of that, I would hardly call that expensive. For a 300hp car I think it's really cheap, especially since Ford is going thru hard times right now. I have the interior upgrade on my car so it's a little more expensive - but everyone that asks how much my car was is absolutely blown away when I tell them 30k.

I got my '06 gt manual with leather and IUP and shaker 500 for for 24,000 even. Go see the fleet manager at the local ford dealership as those are the guys who can give you the REAL deals. They're on salary instead of commission so gettin a good deal out of them would be a lot easier than dealing with your every day salesman.

Cool beans, do you guys know if Ford is offering any sort of low interest rates because they're doing so bad?

LOL, you'll find great interest rates for every vehicle Ford has EXCEPT the mustang (or possibly the FordGT), it's their flagship common mans car, no way they'll reduce those rates anytime soon, as long as the demand is exceeding supply.

Is it though? There are TONS of mustangs sitting at my dealership. But maybe it's just my area, which is nice cuz then I own an uncommon car for where I live.
