Hurst Shifter
I really like the old school look of the Hurst short throw with the white ball. Just wondering how the guys that have it installed like it?

RE: Hurst Shifter
I love mine a TON. I'm with you on the look and feel of it. The only problem most of us are having is it seems to make a noise around 3 grand in 3rd and 4th. Not everyone's is doing this but I just want you to know of that. Its not a loud noise and it only does it when you are stomping on her. I have a thread posted in the V8 section called Hurst making noise. Feel free to read it.

RE: Hurst Shifter
I don't have a stang yet, unfortunately - but I used to drive a '95 Trans Am. I had the Hurst shifter installed in it. The feel was AWESOME! But it did make noise. Kind of like a slight rattle / vibration noise. The fix on the T/A for this was to make a rubber gasket to go between the shifter and the mounting location on the trans. This absorbed the rattle / noise from the transmission and fixed the problem. I don't know how the shifter mounts up the trans on on the stang, but you might try this as it cured the prob in the T/A. I also put a good bead of RTV on the base of the shifter before I installed it.

RE: Hurst Shifter
well depending on you and how you feel about doing it yourself its really not hard to install. You just need to be able to jack the car up and put it on jack stands. A few basic tools and it can be done in an hour or so in your driveway. Not sure how much it would cost to have a shop put it in. I wouldn't imagine a whole lot
