Default Almost lost 'er

So this morning I am getting on the freeway to goto work. I have hit my break in period time, so I want to see what it can do. The on ramp is an "S" curve. It rained a little so the ground was a little damp, but not soaking wet. SO I am coming out of the turn and I goose the gas. I feel the back in slide to the left, then all of a sudden it hops to the right and then back to the left. I was able to recover, but all I could think of is that sound barrier wall was mighty close. I had the TCS on, so I guess it grabbed and that is what caused the back end to hop over. Now I know one reason to keep it off. So far I haven't seen a positive reason to keep it on.

But I at least recovered and didn't wreck my 3 week old car. I knew I should have drove the truck today. I tell myself I need to drive that when it is raining, but I have an addiction of wanting to drive my Mutsang GT [X(]

Sounds like a pretty close one. I was messing around a while back. It was slightly banked corner and the road i was turning on was to the left. Took the corner to fast and the *** end slid out and around. Put the front end into the ditch and scraped up the side skirts a bit underneath but all in all, everything is alright

You didn't crash. Isn't that a good enough reason to keep the TCS on?

Look ***, this is what happened. Because the road had wet spots I lost a traction, causing the traction control to kick in. At that time there was some dry spots and the tire stopped spinning grabbing traction and shot the rear end to the right. Now if I didn't have it on, I would have slid but would have been able to control it like back in the days when there wasn't TCS. I would not have crashed.

well, bottom line, if you can remember "back in the days, before TCS" than you should know damn well not to goose it coming out of a turn on a wet road.......[8D] But, glad you didn't wreck the Stang. Be careful out there. I would keep the TCS on anyways. 9 out of 10 times it could just save your ***.
