Default auto headlight sensor

Hi all, does anyone know if there is a modification to make the headlights and tail lights come on automatically when it gets dark? I'm good at wiring things up, but can't find any products or info for doing this. Thanks. Jim

I'm betting you could get all the parts you need from a Lincoln Zephyr or an Expedition (or any '05+ Ford/Lincoln/Mercury vehicle with auto headlights). They should wire right in.

96 Grand Am GT's had it also.

Don't know about wiring it though.

But what would a '96 Grand Am have to do with an '05 Mustang? The parts would be completely incompatible. For pretty much garaunteed compatibility, he needs to stick with the '05+ Ford vehicles.

He asked,he did not say Ford cars/trucks that have it, that is going to be a trip to the yard to get the parts so just giving him the info is case he cannot find those Ford models that and an older set up might be more basic and easyer to wire up

I have never messed with them so I have no idea if any will plug right in,thats why I said I do not know about the wiring.

Um, no offence, but is it that hard to just turn your lights on?

That depends on how much you've been drinking.

lol, I thought that's why they made the daytime running lights almost as bright as the headlight.

Just to second that thought - my mom's '06 Milan has the exact same switch as the Mustang, except that it has a setting for the auto lights.

Uh, yeah! It's called the human brain! Your parents were supposed to get one with each birth of a child!
