i cant wait... i hope they bring back a lot fo those old hot rods! i'd love to live what my dad tells me about all the time. I wasnt around then, but i dont love htem any less than you! Remember i grew up in an era where electornics started booming, and rice was spilled ALL over the roads, but i always loved me a stang--- even if they were rare in this area. i would LOVE hearing big block 8's pumping out big numbers

I think there might be one thing that we are forgetting about and that is the fuel to power these muscle cars. If things don't level out soon, it will be we can afford the cars but not the fuel. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see the car wars again, I just want to be able to afford to drive them.
Good point,a hybrid muscle car that would be...wrong?

Doesn't really matter what company it is, its good for the muscle car business. Good competition keeps those engineers busy in Detroit trying to out do each another. Without it, things would get boring really fast. [sm=shades.gif]The fact that this beast is pulling 300hp out of 281 cubes is a feat in itself.

You know, that is a good point.......and one frequently overlooked in the Bow Tie vs. Blue Oval debate. All the back and forth between LS1 Fbody guys and '96+Mustang guys and it never seems to occur to anyone that we(mustang guys and gals) are looking to go heads up with cars that have 1.1 more liters of displacement than we do. The chevy guys giggling at us because we're still, in 06, not producing quite the power of the 02 Fbodies should consider what would happen if we were to decrease the displacement of their engines to match the 4.6 in ours............can you say "stampede" lol?
In the end, it's Ford that bow tie guys should rag on for the smaller displacement in the mustang.......not those of us out there who own, drive, and race them. I think that considering the displacement disadvantage that we start off with is a challenge to us to build up a better car. And while an 02 Z28 owner may chuckle at us(05/06 owners) for being able to just hang neck in neck with him with the help of a better tune.............maybe he should consider the fact that his big, bad 5.7 can just barely get over a lowly lil 4.6. hehe.
Now consider if Ford does do like the rumors keep suggesting.....and puts the 5.4 in a new Boss or Mach 1 completely NA. That motor will be pushing far more ponies than the LS1 does out of the box....and it will be doing it, yet again, with less displacement. Sheesh, who needs 6 liters to pop out 400hp? Not mustang fans......[8D]

Intresting.

The Japanese rumor is that TOYota is bringing back the Supra with a v-8, it maybe be japanese, but it'll be a far cry from rice, and a challenge to us.
