Default RE: Chin Spoilers

I think the overall effect of painted and unpainted chin spoilers is gonna be different. Painting to match the rest of the car makes the chin spoiler part of your front facia in essence. It becomes almost like you have an aftermarket front end. Leaving it, or painting it, black (assuming you're not doing it to a black car) makes it more of an accessory to set off the look of the car.......kind of like a spoiler does. So it's gonna depend on what your intentions are as to whether or not you should paint it to match your car or put it/leave it black.
I say if you're gonna go for that old style Mach 1 or Boss look.....go with the matte black. Otherwise, if all you want is a more pronounced and aggressive front end......paint it to match the car.

Here is a good example of a nonpaint-matched chin spoiler on an 05/06. I can't remember the guy's name....but I think his ride looks good.

The "Unpainted" and "Mismatched" look just doesn't fit with the 05s. I like it unpainted on the 99-04s and classic stangs, though.
I am going to have to disagree because these cars are very retro from the factory, I think a black chin spoiler looks better.

I agree; hey where are the CDC agressives; you MUST color match that one; Here's mine (agressive), just put it on yesterday (after fabing it in to a spare bumper[red]) so I can drive to the paint shop; where it will be removed and painted yellow, off the car, then remounted with directionals.

I feel like now I'm setting the car up to run Talledega (lol); I'm having fun playing; just another toy, huh?

I'd say 90% Classic; I like the agressive. seems the leading edge and perimeter profile is about the same. I just had to cut up a bumper and integrate the spoiler; no fun just bolting one on. ...but for you folks that have painted the Classic your car color; IMO they look terrific,(like miketx, but he has painted mirrors too.... ) and at a glance look about the same as the agressive.

Yup, looks like one integrated fascia. ...looks factory basically, if they had offered such an option. Nice job!!
