Default Manual Conversion!

Strange question, I currently have a auto '05 mustang, but its an auto. What do I need apart from a load of money to convert it to the manual?

Cant really sell it as its already cost me a fortune on upgrade bits and plus I'm in the UK [&o]

Can anybody help?

Thanks

You'd spend more money converting it than the time and money removing the upgrades on yours, selling it for a loss, and importing a new one.

One of our UAE friends found this out, he had an auto but wanted a manual and was going to do a conversion. Let's just say he bought a new manual now =)

ITS NOT WORTH IT....plain and simple. You bought and auto, you are stuck with an auto. Sell it and buy a new one is your only logical move. Someone else asked this is a thread. Its going to cost you more than any loss on selling your current car would be.

..apart from a load of money there isn't anything else you'd need.

How much money you'll need is really contingent on what transmission you want to swap over to. I've converted two Mustangs over to 5-speed manuals (neither was a S197) and both conversions paid for themselves when selling the original equipment.

Iam also looking at a manual conversion for my S197....but the plan is to get a T-6060 or a built T-56. I wouldn't waste the money on a crappy stock S197 5-speed conversion. I know selling the stock auto trans won't cover the entire conversion cost....but it will help.
