Default Aftermarket input needed

As you can see from my sig I'm not a Ford guy, however I am an American Muscle fan which includes Mustangs. I have a friend that has a bone stock '05 GT and has come to me for help modding. He intends to keep daily driver driveability however he wants get a decent amount of RWHP fopr a few trips to the track a year. I suggested N2O as best bang for the buck, how about other FI options, cams, heads, all bolt-on's. Just trying to get a thread going of true tested aftermarket parts that work.

Also, I need to get this out there as my first post here, this is your turf and I know that so by no means am I here to make wise cracks towards Fords.

I would tell him to be patient, heads and cams r coming out, but for now i would get'
a CAI with a dyno tune and maybe gears, Spray is a easy way for power also, or a blower if he can afford it..
it all depends on the size of his wallet..

What CAI would be suggested?

On GM products we use LS1Edit, EFI Live, or HPTuners for tuning. What OS does everyone use on the Mustangs?

You will get a lot of opinions. I am running an Airaid CAI and a Diablo Predator custom dyno tune. Opening up the exhaust helped me alot too.

I suggest contacting Brent at Brenspeed.com. He sells several CAI and Tuner packages, he can also set you up with gears, exhaust, pulleys and nitrous. He's really great to deal with, fast shipper and responsive to questions. I have never heard anyone be displeased with him.

Perfect!! It is a manual and even with all the crap I've been giving him about not wanting to go fast I think it is staying manual. CAI and gears are a couple things I mentioned to him off the bat so we'll see if I can get him headed that direction.

I noticed a lot of guys here using the Predator for tuning. Is this the Granetelli tuner? I had one for the Camaro and it didnt take long before my mods exceeded the capabilities of it. I'm just curious if the Predator for the Mustangs have more tuning ability than those for the GM vehicles.

CAI and find a shop that will custom tune. I used the Brenspeed tune with the C&L and X-cal. Turned it into a different car. But after a couple of bolt-ons I took it in and had a Dyno tune done. I am now useing: C&L CAI Steeda UDP Steeda CMD plates and with the custom dyno tune I put down 348hp I still use the brenspeed tune on the street. I have installed an aluminum driveshaft and BMR rear trailing arms, brackets, and upper controll arm. I have an auto and am pulling 1.92 60ft times on stock P-zero's and run an 1/8th in 8.6's. I am sure I would do a lot better if I went with slicks, but I have no desire right now. I am N/A
