Default New Mods & New Pics :)

Finally got some good pics with the top down and with some new mods installed.

Put on a billet gas door, hood pins, 8" shorty anten, and hood struts last weekend.

Now I'm going to focus on the engine. Orderd the C&L cold air intake w/ 93 octane tune. After that I'm lined up to get a 75 shot nitrous system installed. Also ordered slotted rotors w powder coat.

god I love this car!! Feel so much pride driving American Muscle here in the "D" town..... It's nice living in the city where my car was assembled!! Detroit baby!! My mustang is rock solid so far!! I can't say enough good things about Ford and my dealership.

2006 Mustang GT Convertible, Satin Silver w/ Tungsten Grey Stripes, Red Leather Interior, Interior Upgrade Package W/ Side Air Bags, 20" Zenetti Rims/Toyo Tires, Shaker1000 Stereo, Gold Alarm System w/ Remote Start, Blue Tooth Handsfree Phone, Chrome Exhaust Tips, Chrome Billet Gas Door, Hood Pins, 8" Shorty Anten, Hood Struts. So Far!

Hey, which hood pins are those? Are they steel or aluminum?

Car looks great. I love my shorty antenna!

I'm curious though, were did you get the hood pins? I've been searching for them with no luck. Did you drill into the hood or are the adhesive? I've heard of both options. Any info would be appreciated.

Also, the fuel door is sweet. I just installed the same one on my GT. I have mixed feelings about it but overall I think it makes the car look a little tougher.

The rims really match the car nice and they will look even better after you add the slotted rotors! Looks great so far![sm=smiley20.gif]

allfyre and section v8,

I put on the chrome appearance hood pins with the 3M adhesive. I was only going after the retro look like Ford was shooting for with the rest of the car (ie, retro appearance gas filler in the back, gages, etc.. I love them. I've had nothing but compliments on the pins. Check out the Hertz car that was posted on here recently. It has the same set up.

I have funtional hood pins on my 70' Chevelle and have to admit the appearance hood pins look so much cleaner.

Later & good luck!

Thanks for the info, but I have one more question. Were did you obtain the appearance hood pins? These are what I have been looking for as I did not want to drill into my new hood for the functional hood pins. Is this an autozone thing? Or did you get them through Ford? Or on the web? (I guess it's more than one more question, but whatever). I'd appreciate any additional info.

setionV8

I don't mind the questions.

I bought them on the web. Go to:

mustangtuning.com

They are called "hood pin appearance kit"

They are a really high quality product. Heavy & a really nice chrome finish. The cable is coated and won't hurt the finish of your hood. The 3M product is really good also. They will never come off! Trust me.

They should come in 2 days with normal shipping.
