The sales guy didn't get the order in at that late date, only by coincidence and luck, was he able to hook you up with a 'Stang that met your needs. Did you get the color you wanted ? The exact option package ? Are you sure he didn't work a deal with another dealer ? Did you pay a premium price ?
I'm not doubting your story, as it did happen. That dealer is taking the credit for being lucky, not good. (yea I know the line, don't go there)

That really sucks that your order was cancelled. I placed my order for a 2006 Premium GT in Tungsten on 3/29 and I just spoke to the dealer ship today the car went into production 4/24 and the estimated delivery date is 5/8.

I ordered an 06 screaming yellow GT vert on April 3. Now three weeks later I find out from the dealer that the factory "kicked it back" because they are not making anymore 06's.
No yellow available for 07 either.....

Man, you guys are making me nervous. I ordered on 3/7. My dealer told me last Tues. 4/18. That it had a build date of 5/8.

The same thing happened to me last year. I ordered in Feburary and by May the car was cancelled. Best thing to do is look everywhere within 500 miles at all ford dealerships. It takes some time but do it. I found my car at a dealer 65 miles away and the car was still on the train on it's way. I went in and bought it unseen and have been happy ever since.

I ordered March 8th, it had a build date of April 11th and dealer said id prolly get it by the 14th-17th. Tomarrow is the 26th and still no car =(, does it usually take this long to ship? or should i be prepaired 2 hear him tell me he was BSing me and i can order an 06 if i want to [:@]
