Steeda Ultra Lite Lowering Springs installed
Got the Steeda Lite springs installed today... !!...Awesome~!
They are exactly waht I was hoping for... A drop of one inch, and a little firmer ride.
The car lowered 7/8" in front and 1" in back. The car looks proper now, and has much less brake dive and launch jump.
To put a number on it, I would say the car seems 20-25% firmer now. Nothing to make driving uncomfortable, just enough to let you know that you are in a proper sports car...
The shop that installed them said that it aligned easily, and they didn't think I would have any suspension issues without installing any other parts... we'll see.
The springs came directly from Steeda (only $209 on sale now)
I've attach a morf photo with the before and after image to aid your assesment.
Go Steeda!

RE: Steeda Ultra Lite Lowering Springs installed
Matt,
That looks perfect! I have been debating between the Ultra Lites and the Eibach Pro-Kit for weeks, but I think I just made up my mind.
So, no other mods were necessary, huh? A Steeda rep told me I'd need to upgrade everything from shocks/struts to LCA's, panhard bar/brace, sway bars, upper 3rd link, etc.
Beautiful car!
Tim

RE: Steeda Ultra Lite Lowering Springs installed
thanks,,,
Well the Steeda rep told me just the opposite.. that if I only lowered the car with the lite sprints and only went down 1 inch, that I would be fine.
After reading several other forrums, I am under the impression that I will want to consider upgrading the struts/shocks at some point.. But for now I'll jsut see how things go. others on this site have mentioned that if the axle is still centered then the Panhard isn't Nessisary, and it looks good to me. BUt if things change, I have no issues finishing the install up the rest of the way.

Thanks for the photos!
I've been researching kits and will have to look into that one.
i had been originally thinking about lowering just the rear but since that kit lowers the front less than the back that may be what I want. But I would like an adjustable panhard rob installed if it helps ride quality.
Have you noticed any difference when handling speed bumps or dips yet?
BTW, the wheel retailer down the street wants me to paint my bullit rims black like yours. Are those the 17's? You don't have the stock tires I can tell so I wonder if they are 18...
Thanks

RE: Steeda Ultra Lite Lowering Springs installed
they are 18x9 rims...
I would say low speed curbs, potholes, ect are just the same as prior to the install.. I have notices a small amount more see-saw on section roads(the ones with un-even up/downs from winter). Sure that new shocks would solve that issue.. but I think I need to slow down the purchasing just a little bit, as the wife I wondering where all the money is going...oops.

Just thought I'd post this Quote from Mustang Monthly doing an inteview with a Steeda rep"
read more at: http://mustangmonthly.com/featuredve...das/index.html
Steeda's Sport springs drop the '05 by 3/4-inch and they're designed for good riding as well as improved handling. Even better, on the '05, you can install Steeda's Sport springs without having to switch to performance struts and shocks. "The stock dampers--struts and shocks--are pretty aggressive," Orlando told us. "They're light-years better than the stock dampers on the SN-95 Mustang. Now, for the guy who is going to do open-track events, he needs to go ahead and get D-spec Tokico struts and shocks."

Thanks fo rthe link to the article. I then went to the Steeda site and took a look at the Screaming Yellow Q. Not too crazy about most of the styling but I'd love to have all the suspension & performance upgrades! Think it'll pass a smog test?
