Man airborneflyguy, that sucks!
To others w/ a radar detector, that's fine but if you DO happen to get pulled over and the cop sees the detector, your dead.

Well I must say I have the luckiest story of the week.... When I first put in my cold air intake and new tune i went out on the highway to test it out... i drove it out to a straightaway that i know and waited till all cars were out of sight and i tested her out... Got her up to 125mph and flew past a cop.... Naturally the next exit was still 10 miles away so I just pulled over cuz I knew sooner or later he was gonna catch up to me of radio ahead or something.... He finally pulled up besides me and walked over to my car:
Officer: "Why are you pulled over on the side of the road here?"
Me: "Decided to make your job easier by waiting for you"
Officer: "So how fast did you get up to? I didnt have the radar on but the look on your face was guilty as sin!"
Me: "Honestly about 125mph, was just seeing what she could do"
Officer: "Well now that you know take her home at 55mph"
Me: "Yes sir"
When I got home I changed my underwear cuz I def had soiled myself i was so nervous! haha j/k

Blackfoot, you are in Canada right? Most of the USA is radar detector legal. The only problem I ever had with a detector is that most of the time a cop will give some leeway with a ticket. Say you are doing 85 in a 55, the cop will cut it down to say 65 in a 55 if you are nice. Once they see the detector they are ready to search the car for drugs with a dog. Happened to me. good thing I left the drugs at home that day...LOL

Get a Valentine 1 radar detector. It's pricey but it's worth the money. I've had mine for awhile now and i've busted smokey everytime. Anything else and you risk getting busted. Radar detectors are not illegal. It's only illegal for commercial vehicals.
