Default Possible Buyer's Remorse...

Well, I feel kinda bad now because I got a 06GT this January, and after seeing the 07 GT500 Cobra I think I'm in love with it. I love my GT but I always want more power. Does anyone know when these bad boys are coming to the dealerships and for about how much money?

And do you think Im crazy for even thinking about betraying my GT?

Forget the remorse. They are only auctioning them from what I hear, for 20K over MSRP. I may be wrong, just what I've heard.

For the amount of money it would cost you to buy the Shelby, go crazy with mods.

I'm pretty happy with the Roush s/c which is warranted.

417 hp isn't 475 hp, but it ain't bad for the difference in price.

Isn't the GT500 a limited production car? If it is, don't expect prices to come down, there won't be enough available.

Hang in there, we all want more and better. There is no disgrace in what you have, just don't part with her, until you can get that '07 , in hand. It's better to have 2nd best, than none at all.

You still have a great car.

Check the Shelby forum over on Brad Barnett, the dealership markups are well documented there and vary from 10k over sticker at a minimum on up to 50k over sticker. The sticker price is rumored to be around 40k for the coupe (prices have not been announced yet). So you're looking at 50k to 90k out the door for the coupe. Unless you want to pay that insane markup, keep your GT and wait a few years for the Shelby prices to settle down.

I agree, my wife already owns an SVT vehicle so we had the opportunity to get in line early to order a 07 Shelby, unfortunately there is no way we could afford the mark up over MSRP so we had to pass, but I am sure I will be more than thrilled with my 06 GT once she arrives.

Gotta be a typo on 5W50 MO. Too large of a viscosity range.
