Where would the felt go? I was suppose to have mine tinted a couple weeks ago but tint man had a toothache so I am on again for june 1st . My tint man said he did not install the felt but I have seen to much of his work to want to go anywhere else

Get the felt.. they will scratch eventually.. I had mine done in December and now they are scratched.. have to get them redone, +$150. I trust my guy too and he said he wasn't sure if they would scratch or not so he didn't say anything to me.[:@] But I am having him do it since he does good work.

YES GET FELT!!! When I got my tint done last year, I opted for no felt beacuse I didn't think it was a problem. My drivers side window is perfectly scratch free, but passager window is horrible. It has several deep scratch marks. I have to get the tint replaced and put felt as well.

I think it goes inside the window somewhere? Maybe where the rubber is on the inside..My tint guy said he has to take the door panels off to fix it.

I say get what you want and if you get pulled over then make sure you roll both windows down. The cops will really respect that. My last stang had illegal tint on it. I was pulled over several times in it. Every time i rolled them down and was never questioned about it. I think if you do that then cops can give a crap what you have. I plan on getting as dark as i can.

Got mine tinted less than a month ago and yea, got a nice gouge down the middle of the passenger window already...get the felt!!!

Thanks alot for that Icandrive. And from what it explained the VLT as, I would assume the darkest % tint can be would be 0.. meaning it would let in NO light? I think Ill stick with 5% lol.. and about the felt, do I have to get it and bring it to the tint place or will they have it to install there?
