Cinco de Mayo Dyno Testing Results by Evo Performance
I made the trek down to PA on friday to get Fluffy tuned for her new exhaust system. I've never had her up on a dyno before so I wanted to see what she was putting down. It took a while, but in the end Fred was able to get some good numbers for me. We were able to break the 300 mark on the Mustang Dyno with a max of 317 ft. lbs. of delicious, nutritious TORQUE. We did take another pull after this one, with a few adjustments but came up just short of the 300 mark. Of course, by this time it was getting pretty late and the engine was pretty hot (coolant temp @ 196 degrees) so it's possible that we weren't getting the best numbers we could be at that point.
In any case I think we got some impressive results here, and the car performs wonderfully. There is a clear dose of extra punch that kicks in when you get the RPM up to about 3.5-4k and overall the accelleration is very smooth.
No doubt some of this extra power is coming from the new exhaust modifications which my "canned" tune wasn't set up for, and of course having a custom tune in your car is nearly always going to give you better results.
Results Here
Mods:
C&L Intake
Mac O/R Pro-Chamber
Bassani SS Race Axle-Backs
Evolution Performance 93 Octane Tune injected via SCT XCal2 unit
EDIT: Let me know if this scan came out too faint to read and I can Photoshop up the contrast a bit.
