....an outfit that sells a sending unit to make the IUP oil pressure gauge work right? It has been discussed before that the oil pressure gauge and the voltmeter are set up with just an on and off type switching arrangement. I assume the gauge would work like a normal one if the sending unit was changed. I'de really like the voltmeter to work right too, but Im not fornicating with the cars' wiring. Ford built the car for enthusiasts, but dropped the ball on this one. I think most of us would like to know what the oil pressure really is. Anyone?

It's not a pressure gauge. It's a level gauge.

the volt gauge reads real time...
The Ford dealer worked on my car, then didn't tighten the small wire that goes to the positive side of my battery. A couple days later it got really loose, and while driving at night (with lights on) I actually watched the volt gauge get lower and lower.

It is an OIL PRESSURE Gauge. The oil level gauge is also called the dipstick.

Thanks RetiredGeneral, that takes care of one of the gauges. Now if I could just get that oil pressure gauge workin' right...[&o]
