Most salesmen won't give you the time of day. Some will, some won't. Just be prepared for them to give you the run around on everything since you are young.

The best thing is do you research before you go in. Then make a plan. I will only buy it at X amount of dollars. Don't budge. With you being young. It makes things more difficult. The salesman who does give you his time will try to work you over. Could be wrong, but it happened to me at your age.....Better yet. Just go with your parents.

Great. Your 2 steps ahead of most car consumers. Just stay firm. Once you negotiate the deal. You are only half the way there. Know what finance rate you can get. They usually stick it to you on the financing.

If you have a bank account. Then start with them. This will give you a general idea. Intrest rates range due to several factors. If your parents co sign for you it could help you find a lower rate. Maybe your parents can help you out on researching this. I called my credit union to find out the rates. They ranged from 6% to 9%.
