Trunk Emblem

Default Trunk Emblem

Im looking at takeing off the trunk emblem and painting the area on the trunk between the tail lights black... Has anyone taken off the emblem, im curious to how its set up, and how they did it, also if anyone has already done what im about to do if they could get pictures

You can buy vinyl that is cut to fit around the emblem, or that is cut to cover the emblem with a hole for the trunk key hole. There is also a kit with a honey comb pattern(abs plastic), that works as emblem delete. I havent done it, but I think everyone is heating up the emblem with a hair dryer and working fishing line behind it to remove the glue, there are no bolts. Try CDC for the abs piece.

Yeah i have looked at all those.. I just want to go for the paint and no emblem just the key slot...

There are alignment holes behind the badge, much like the holes behind the GT Badge. If you do remove the badge, would you like to sell it ? Please advise.

I welded badge alignment holes and lock hole. Decklid paintwork done with flame paint work.

If you mean welding(3 holes), finish body work and paint: $450-$650. (All work to be done with decklid off the car; which is good because car does not need to be in the shop (and therefore masked off))
