any one realy want the gt500 let me know a dealer by my house is getting 3, 1 is sold 20k over i think he said 65k [sm=proof.gif] i dont know how the are getting 3 i thought they were all sold for the first year mybe they had alote of people back out after the 20k markup , acording to him 20k is good compared to other places [sm=yikesomg.gif]
I hear most Ford dealers are Allowed 3. I know sarasota ford will be getting three, but my god $20k over MSRP. I would love a gt500, and would be willing to pay maybe 5k over sticker, but it's just to rich for my blood.
Yeah, apparently most dealers get atleast one or two, and then dealers who sold a lot of cobras and whatnot sometimes get additional units.
I've read several things on the web about dealer allocation, just depends on the individual dealers sometimes.

dealers should have a cap on how much over they can go it dosnt make sence if a car cost say 30k to make that they can charge what ever they want like 65k ford should do something about that so the average joe can stay a proud ford fan and be able to drive one whats next 45k for a GT ? they nead to stop it its not like they are the best in over all quility you dont here these 15-25k cars with all these noises in the car sqeake, raddle at least they can do is up the quility on the inside befor the dealers get them so they cant makeout 20k over, say the dealers got this car for 10k more would they still go 20k over i dont think so 75-80k they would never sell them if you ever wanted a mustang you beter get it now they seem to be going up faster then the gas price.Make less so its a colector,do you realy think 15-20 years from now people are gonna say i want a gt500 with all these new cars coming out i dont think so, FORD if you can hear me keep it real what happend to (the best car for the money?) now it should be insted of the best car for the money ( For Only Rich Dudes)

Technically ford themselves would do the same thing that the dealerships are doing ... if FORD themselves could make more on the sale of a car ... do you think they actually would put a cap? Not likely. Dealerships are just intended to take care of selling the cars ... it's kind of like an employee to FORD, but not ... the dealerships just buy into Ford and follow some rules that ford applies to all dealerships ... but, in no way will they control the sale of a car ... that would be ludacris ... if it gets sold ... it gets sold ... it doesn't matter to ford ... they got paid for the car by the dealership
.. the only time ford actually affects the sale of a car is by offering rebates ... which ford basically covers what the dealer would lose if they sold it at that price ... so in the end ... we all know it sucks most of us can't afford it ... but, it's simple economics on why this is happening ... supply will eventually meet demand ... not everyone can afford spending 65 k on a car
... it will just take a year or two for that to happen.

This same thing happened when GM came out with the ZO6 at first and now when they have changed it to the new style. People are crazy for paying over sticker. IMO wait a couple of years they will be offering rebates to sell them. Happened to GM on the ZO6. I am sure the same will happen over time here as well. Eventuallt they will run out of buyers that came afford to pay the top price and have to offer rebates.
Jones Ford (Charleston, South Carolina) is getting three and they are already taken for when they arrive. You had to pay 5,000 dollars up front and the price is still unknown. A salesman here told me 5,000 over the sticker price. I know those GT's (not the mustang gt) were priced and still are priced 50,000 or more over the sticker price.
i think i will just get the saleen with no S/C if i can find one for 40k my wife dosnt mined now but in 2 years it could change have 2 kids 5k ayear for school soon to go up so no time to wait [sm=gears.gif]
