I still am a mustang hater (I must be bi-polar or something). I am a hippocrit, I admit it. To me, the last nice mustang was made in the late 60's and it was all down hill from there. The last body style was OK and was a nice attempt. But nothing earth shattering. I did drive a 99 GT once and it honestly felt like dung. The cars never got much respect from the serious car enthusiasts either.

The 05+ is the first mustang in years I even looked twice at. If someone told me that I was going to buy a mustang three years ago before I saw the 05 concept, I would have laughed and said you have got to be kidding. Nothing still makes me happier than taking out the mopar and ticking off late 80's-2004 mustang owners who have some type of god complex about their cars.

The 05+ is just sweet. Ford is still beatle headed about alot of things though, why they kept the displacment at a lowly 4.6L is still annoying to me. But it runs hard and that is what counts.

 

These cars are definitely attention getters. Especially cops. I was pulled over the other day by an off duty cop. He thought i was weaving in and out of traffic. I merely passed a couple of cars so i didn't miss my exit. Once i was there i was with the flow of traffic. I guess in his eyes i was just someone thinking that i'm a bada$$ in a new mustang that doesn't give a crap about traffic laws. Ok well i do hate speed limits! Which is was he gave me a ticket for. The only reason he gave me a speeding ticket was because he saw my radar detector. He said he clocked me and blah blah blah. I have a valentine one. He didn't clock me. He wasn't on the side of the road setting a speed trap. He was an off duty cop tending to other business that day and saw me pass a couple of cars. He just had sand in his vagina that day and wanted to take it out on a stang owner. I have absolutely no respect for traffic cops! At least give me a ticket for the reason you pull me over! But since i have a radar detector that really set him off! Funny thing is, he told me "the reason why i stopped you is that i saw you weaving in and out of traffic." Can't wait to get his video stating that and showing him not clocking me for speeding. This one's too easy! I also get others that want to race. So far in the couple of months that i've owned it, i haven't gotten to much positive feedback on the car. Only the people i know and work with have really given me compliments. I don't go crazy with it and don't have a stuck up attitude since i own it. I think a lot of people are either jealous or just pass judgement on me because i drive a new stang. Either way i can give a ****. I love my car and that's all that matters to me!

 

ugh +1 to that man. tonight some ******* from my school tried to race me in a chevy trailblazer, then ricer flybyed-it. what a tool. ive also had an expedition full of punk *** wiggers give me **** about my car then try to race me.

 

I honestly do not like mustangs. I'm more of a tempo guy myself but that's just me. Mustang owners think they are the fablizo.

 

I've actually only had a problem with one guy, well there were two guys in the car but the passenger didn't do anything, the driver of that Pontiac firebird was the ahole. I really don't pay too much attention to other drivers, don't look at them directly too often, so I don't know if there have been others out there that have given me bad looks, the middle finger, etc. don't really care though.

 

Jealousy is a B!tch !![sm=gears.gif]. Everytime someone talks **** about my car I love my baby even MORE!!

I've gotten plenty of compliments on my new smoked out tail light lenses....hmm wonder how they saw them lol oh yea at the next stop light

I was yelled at on the interstate and tailgated by the same person. Then he drove up to me by my window and said, "I should of bought a chevy." I should of asked the damn fool which one since there isn't anything now to compare too except maybe the GTO which resembles a saturn to me. He played cat and mouse with me almost all the way home. I would out run him then he would catch up with me after I let off of it. I realize that the whole thing was just stupid and let him go on his way with his middle finger up in the air.[sm=sleeping.gif]

 

Ive had a couple of confronts. One guy came up to me and said my car was ugly....I said "so are you but your mama still kept ya" .
Then I had an older full size blazer all "mudded" out with big tires and all, tried to race me...what a joke... I was shifting at 2500 and still smoked his ***. His GF was watchin me and I could read her lips "he's short shifting" LOL! Some people are pissed they made a bad decision and overpaid for their slow *** chevies.

I actually haven't enountered any negitive actions or comments yet.

Now - my next door neighbor does come over when he sees me preparing and detailing for a show - saying - "Now matter how much you rub that thing it is still going to be a FORD!". But he always says that with a smile on his face. His two sons both drive Mustangs, and one of them is a Cobra. He just likes Chevy and likes to rib me.

Of course, when I see him preparing his 39 Chevy for a show - I walk over and say "No matter how much you rub that - it is sitll going to be a Chevy".
