I agree with Sean3667, why bother, there is greater HP gains to be found elsewhere. In Colorado they have emissions testing every 2 years. Rather than fail an inspection, get a hefty reduction ofyour sales price(When you trade in or sell the car), or pay a hefty fine, purchase a CAI, Custom Tune, 4.10 Gears, & Under drive Pulleys, these mods will produce much greater HP gains for less money, with the extra $1500.00 bucks, use it for gas, and enjoy your ride.

We get guys coming in all the time asking to gut the cats. There's no way I would do it, You don't know if the guy is working for EPA. and yes it is up to $25K fine and they can also close your shop down. Find other ways to get more HP.

I am sorry but if you are that worried about getting caught doing something "illegal" that thousands of other people do everyday, DONT TOUCH YOUR CAR. That's the only way you will stay legal. If you are going to break the law to gut your cats, what's the difference in breaking the law to put on an o/r pipe? Just wondering.

Dude, Please Don't gut your cats. There is relatively no HP to be found by doing it. You will only destroy some very expensive car parts, Your car will get very loud and you will probably get a checkengine light because the rear 02 sensors will get saturated with a rich fuel mixture. If you ever have to sell the car, you will have to replace them and they area wopping$1700. check it out onFordpartsonline.com
