I'm 31, make a six figure salary (my own business) and I have a credit score of 710 - ford credit gave me 7.65%. With 15K down, my car payments are 298 per month. I am also paying 2600 insurance per year but that's because I live in NY and I have 4 points on my license for something I'm not even sure about cuz it was so long ago but im sure defensive driving can get rid of that.

Put as much down as possible, there is less pressure when you see a low payment in the mail every month.

USAA would only give me 12k on my own. I'm a 21 year old mechanic and I've had credit cards since 18 and I've had excellent credit since then as well with a current score of 765. Kinda suprised they wouldnt loan me enough as my parents have always banked with them as have I. I could proly get enough elsewhere but it doesnt really matter as I can get a cosign for 5.4% 50k pre approved. Grats to all the younger people like me who get their loan alone though.

You can alway go to ELoan or one of the other loan sites, or Ford Credit, and apply online. The results from this will tell you a lot.
