Performans Cams with the 2005-06 GT?
As far as I know, the only performance cam maker for our cars right now is Comp Cams. Since it's an overhead cam motor, there's two cams needed, and they're about $900 for the pair. They have 4 different grinds available.
However, they're VERY new, so there isn't any real experience out there yet. I think one of the regulars on the forum had purchased a set but hasn't yet installed them yet? Personally, I have yet to read an actual review or "firsthand report" about them.

They will actually run you closer to $1150. The engine is still a SOHC car but you have a left and a right side hence the pair of cams. 30-40 is a conservative estimate since no one has any hard evidence on cams as of yet. I have a set of prototype cams from Crower installed but right now the tune is off so I can't say what the gains are. Chevykiller has a set of Comp cams but I think he is still having his engine rebuilt.

Wow, 900.00 for the pair. Thats seems a bit much for what I can only assume will be 30-40 Hp gain at best. That makes it about 22.50-30.00 dollars per Hp.

That's about average. Think about what pulleys cost and their gain, headers (especially shorties) and their gain. If I could find another 40hp for $900.00 (excluding nitrous) I'd go for it.
