This thread pisses me off....every time a V6 mustang like myself gets GT foglights put on his car, he is bashed and burned by every GT owner. Yet here is a GT owner posing as a GT500.

I too am doing my own thing....the emblems that I intend to use are from a 67 Shelby. If I were trying to be an 06 Shelby, I'd by the hood, original style spoiler, wheels, etc, etc......

The clone thing has been around awhile. I receintly cloned a 69 Chevelle into an SS396. I sold it as such and it brought almost $15k on ebay. It wasnt a real SS car (though I've owned several), but someone saved thousands of dollars by buying it this way.

Again, If you think this car looks like a Shelby, you obviously dont know Shelby's....and I know it'll **** you guys off, but I'm still going to put the GT500 emblems on the side....sorry

As for the GT emblems on the V-6 car.....well, I guess it would be ok as long as you didnt actually start the thing around other people.....

I've seen the cobra emblems on GT's out here. Should be easy to find (Ebay, Google). I'm sure they fit the OE GT holes; or cover them at the least. Do whatever you want. ...does it really matter what anyone else thinks?

exist{see sidebar} .I have previously owned "finished "cars (BMW m3,mroadster,944turbo). Since getting my 06GTvert auto I've added
Saleen supercharger,magnaDRONES,20x8 front,20x10 rear chrome bullits,3.73 rear,K40 radar det.,& sat. radio.I am having blast and I love the look. I think these cars are meant to be tweaked .Good luck, have fun.

I don' t reall like the look of the GT emblems on my car. I really have no love for the GT500 ones either. I have been looking arond for something to replace them with. I may just pull them off and fill in the holes. Personally I think the GT emblems look stupid.

I'm also looking for an alternative to the GT. I'm pretty certain my mustang will do laps around that Shelby anyway. I've been brainstorming this idea for a little while but haven't come across anything worth doing. I own a small business that builds blow molding machines in Canada. I have a couple of CNC machines that could cut anything worth putting on. Instead of bitching maybe we could bring some ideas?

I was originally looking at snakes that are more deadly than a Cobra.... If any of you have anything, let me know. I can use any bmp, jpeg or whatever and vectorise it with a cad program and generate a mastercam file. It's easy to cut it after that. That's what my guys are telling me anyway....
