Rim sizes
ok my final thread about rims (for a while atleast lol :P)
http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ls&prodid=1125
SSR Competition Type H Anthracite with Machined Lip 18x9 +31, 5-114.3
It says theyre for 350z/G35 but do you think they could possibly fit on my mustang? as its hard to find lightweight rims they dont look like crap
http://www.lethalperformance.com/pag...ion-wheel.html
or these, its says theyre for 99-04 Mustangs but do you think it would possible to fit them on my 05?
also for 255/45 and 285/40 will a 18x9 or 18x8.5 rim be wide enough to hold it?
or even a 17x8.5 ?

Those wheels have a different offset and may stick out too far. Yes an 18x9 would be adequetely fit a 245-275mm tire. But I would not go beyond that.
That being said i would like to add YIKES! those rims are NOT cheap. I mean for that kind of money you might want to check out Boyd Coddingtons, or Foose's. All much nicer designs IMHO for the look of the Mustang.
Good Luck.

I'm pretty sure that 350z and mustangs use the same offset, or to put it another way, they are interchangeable. At $500 per wheel you are looking for light weight, not good looks.
Good Luck!

Good Luck!
I have 18x9 wheels with 255/45/18. The wheels have a 25offset. I thought stock was 45, but I really don't understand offset very well. Anyway, the put the edge of the tires right up to the edge of the fender. I think it looks 5 x better.
I thought the bolt pattern was 5x110, but I see here it's 5x112? I feel like, duh.....

Judging by the way the 255mm fit on the 9" rim, I would say at least 9" for 285mm. You might need 9.5"-10" rims for that wide of a tire. Even if the tire "fits" it's not necessarily a goot fit. You can squeeze too big of a tire on a rim and get it to hold air, but you end up wearing down the middle of the tread really fast, and it may effect handling characteristics negatively also.
