I think we should talk a little more about these things. Why? Because after thinking about this a bit It would seem that EVERYONE with a Mustang especially a GT should have one if they are into mods and such. I mean this these things will allow you to go faster on a street or highway for an overall prolonged length of time won't they?

Surely a good $200-$300 or so radar detector is just as valuable as the next greatest CAI or pully system, or even gear ratio upgrade.

Am I on the right track here with this thought or am I blowin smoke up your tailpipes?

This was actually the first thing I bought after I got my car.. a Beltronics Vector 995 radar detector... and I must say I am very pleased and it has helped me out already, even with no mods so far..

Laser jammers are NOT illegal.....well, depending on what state because in some states radar DETECTORS are illegal.

However, Laser Jammers are not illegal because, interesting fact by the way, lasers, they are not goverened by the FCC. Lasers are governed by the FDA

Why?

How many CAI topics do we have here?

How many topics on 4.10 and 4.30 gears have we run into the ground here yet I bet there will be a new one today....Thursday?

Nothin wrong with that in my opinion because everytime I read one I either get new knowledge or reinforcement of knowledge that I already had and that breeds confidence.

All I'm sayin is, and this is the heart of my topic, aren't radar and laser detector/jammers just as important mabey even more so? Shouldn't they be considered a performance modification due to the availability of more speed with less risk?
Shouldn't we talk about them more and perhaps in the same light as we do CAI's, gears, pully's, tires, rims, waterpumps, turbos and supers? Why not? Are they not invaluable?
Mabey....Mabey not.....lets talk about it

I think it's a great subject. Personally, I haven't seen all that many posts covering models and types. I haven't bought one yet but should because I'm always going too fast in my GT.

Anybody know of any good REMOTE radar/laser detectors? You know, the ones that you can mount up front and have a stealthy receiver in the dash?
