It was my first choice... 2nd choice, and my 3rd choice as well! Once I saw one, I had to have one.

I wasn't looking for a car. When I saw the new retro style of the Mustang, I just wanted one. When my husband looked into them, he got convinced by the 300hp.
If Dodge had the Challenger (not charger) out when we bought, that would have been a consideration.

i had a dealer looking for a 04 lightning, and saw a 04 GTR there (a f150 with a LA WEST conversion kit)
and the price from when they let me drive it home for a test drive and back was my problem.

i saw a mineral gray car there but was no way i would buy it from them so i left and started looking for a GT. i liked the mineral gray but noone could find one until a friend found a mineral grey ROUSH i wanted it.well a couple days later i got a call, they found a black 05 GT with all the options i wanted and alot cheaper than the ROUSH, so i ended up with a black GT that i'm getting a ROUSH bumper cover and a ram air hood put on now thanks to a BIG deer lol.

My other choice was a Dodge Charger... VERY happy with my choice, dont think I could have lived with the same power on a car that weighs 500 lbs more. not to mention my Stang just looks so much better and gets so many more compliments. And see.. by owning a Stang.. you are part of a legacy.. they are truly the greatest production sports car ever made. K im done with my sentimental part now lol

I was going to car shows to spend up to 30K on a vintage 60's-70 mussle car. I ended up spending 5K more, but got a warranty and lots better gas mileage.

ORIGINAL: W1ldcat

And Air conditioning, power windows, etc.... I guess I was going to pour a bunch of money into my '86 Alpha Romeo Veloce convertible if I hadn't spent it all on my new Mustang. The decision was new, vs. old. I went new. Happy, happy, happy! The Alpha will get it's long awaited love some day down the road.

I wanted something that was easy to modify, so the two big ones are Civic's and Mustang's. I figured the insurance on a 06 Civic Si would be cheaper then a Mustang GT. I had an quote one time for an 05 GT and it was like $1,000 every six months!!! turned out the civic was $750 every six! so out of chance i sent in quote for a 06GT and it was $500 every six!!! sealed the deal, plus the Stang is way faster, cooler, and overall just awesome! now i dont know how i'll get around this winter, but hey, thats months off. please done burn me for looking at a civic, haha.

oh and Stangboy-05, i live real close to LA WEST, haha, i see those F150's, Ram's and Chevy trucks all the time...oh they are starting to make Shelby coupe replica's along with GT 40's as well. haven't seen the shelby car yet, but when you go by you can see GT 40's inside, but none out in their lot. so who knows.

the other cars i was looking at were

1. 2005 mustang GT: they didnt have any that werent verts, and all were over 45k at the time
2. 350z: my parents said that this would be a bad car for a new driver...not very safe
3. g35: same as the 350z

ended up with a v6 06 stang because prices for the GTs were way high at the time and i would never get a vert in seattle, WA

....now i am kinda upset because prices for the GTs are around msrp and they have a good selection of them [:@]
