I liked it until I figured out you can't have red, only a dark pinkish-purple. Now I ride around with blue and don't mess with it anymore.

I've got the "My Color" on my 05 and I think it's B.S. It's like sticking neon lights uner the frame. IMO totally rice. Why did FORD waste money designing colored lights for the gauges. I would rather they spent the money on decent brake pads.

Yeah mine came with the package. I thought it was neat for the first 5 minutes. Then I put it on green and it's been there since

Are you sure, I thought I heard another poster talking about putting it on read and not knowing if he was gonna run out of gas if the time came......something like that.

Also, I thought I saw red when I was playing with it....Am I wrong?

You are correct. You absolutely can have red. But you have to select it from the preselected colors. You can't mix your own true red.

ORIGINAL: 281GT

I have the "MyColor" option as part of the Interior upgrade package. I like it however the biggest advantage for me is the fact that "MyColor" uses LEDs' instead of regular bulbs. Unless it is powered with too much amperage, and LED can NEVER burn out. So to never have to change a bulb in the dash is worth the price of admission all on it's own as far as I'm concerned.
The non-MyColor cars also use LEDs. I actually wanted this option til I found out I couldn't get it without the additional silver paneling.

I've owned a ton of cars and have yet to ever have a need to change a bulb in the dash.

Is this even a problem that occurs more than like 1 in a million?
The 81 Mustang T-Top Coupe I had many a year ago had a burnt out bulb in the dash, was a PITA.

I've set mine to blue, just like that colour and my Mazda had blue lights at night. Though I've realy never used it as I've actually not driven when it's that dark yet. Around here it's light out till pretty much 10 and well I've been busy around the house and working on the car in the garage that late at night, lol! I did set my RoadyXT to have a similar blue so that's kinda cool.
