I'm so sorry to hear about your accident! I was ina pretty bad accident last year. a girl ran a red light and totalled my car. ^^^^ i couldnt agree any more with you. I'm not saying im MUCH older but im not carless now. They ruin it for everyone under the age of 25 because were 'bad' drivers and need to be insured higher. You don't even wanna know what the insurance quoted me when I almost bought the mustang! The insurance were higher than my payments would be!! My sisters friend who is 16 just got a new 06 mustang. That girl BANGS the **** out of that car because the girl CANT drive. The best part is....she DOESNT CARE!!

ORIGINAL: GettingMyMustang

Its crashes like this that make me wonder why we allow 16 years olds to drive cars....I am not cuttin on any of the younger drivers, but seriously are 16 year olds responsible enough to be on the road....I for one will admit that I was not!!!!!
I read somewhere, like Time magazine or something, that the average attention span of a teenager is 6 seconds... [>:]

I'm still a "teen" but have less than 4 months until I'm 20, so I'm not sure if that applies to..

...OH! BUTTERFLY!!!

I feel your pain man!

Doesn't look like the car is totaled but if it were me I would prefer that it was.

PLease tell me you had GAP insurance!

She would never be the same after being put back together. It might look right but you would always know she was different.

Insurance companies can be funny about totaling vehicles.

My GF wrecked her sunfire one time and the estimate to repair came out to be $200 less than totalling it. The Insurance company opted to repair the car.

THis was on an 04 that was barely 6 months old.

IN any event, at least you guys are OK.

Good Luck.

Cars can be replace, human life no. No offense I hope that 16 year old girl is o.k.. I think they should change the drivers license age to 18 years old.

Is it just me, or does it look like it could actually be repaired? I think a good frame shop and a good repair shop could have it good as new. If I were you, I'd ask the insurance company to let me have the car. I'd put it up on ebaY. I'm POSITIVE that it would get sold probably for a cool $8K - $10K as is. For some skillful chap, it would still possibly be cheaper to fix that one up than buy a new one. Or better still, repair the the damage, gut it out, and turn it into a full-on race car! (Preferably a road course racer.)
